I live in Wisconsin with my husband, daughter, son, and hound dog. When I first started the adoption process I was overwhelmed and I felt defeated before even really starting. I also wasn't sure about hiring a consultant because I was trying to save money and wasn't sure if there was a benefit. Our second adoption we used a consulting company and I discovered what I had been missing.

I have seen many unethical practices in the this process including dishonesty, disorganization, and disrespect for the whole adoption triad (adoptive parents, birth family, and the adoptee.) I became so passionate about adoption and I started to write articles and have them published. I consumed anything I could on the topic. I soon felt that wasn't enough. I went through political training and worked on law advocacy for adoption. I then felt that wasn't enough.

I started to dream what my company would be. How I would help others by educating and advocating for those who wanted to adopt. I want to make a difference in the adoption community and so Love Grown Adoption Consulting was born.

In addition to my adoption experience I have a BS in Political Science and have years of training experience. I love traveling and I'm an alumni of Semester at Sea.
